Huawei Device has an exciting new opportunity for a Camera ISP Tuning Software Engineer to join our Innovation team in our San Diego office!

 

Description/ Responsibilities:

Responsible for wireless device Android software development, integration, and troubleshooting for Qualcomm chipset platform. Be involved in hands-on Android architecture and design capacity, Systems Requirements (SRS) definition, as well as conduct design reviews and incorporating knowledge of real-time embedded firmware/software (SW). Responsible for interfacing with and supporting local and international Android based development projects and working closely with client labs and engineers. Will design and work on the camera imager (ISP) tunings for best-in-class image and color rendition for the data captured by the camera imagers used by Huawei’s devices while utilizing specialized tools such as colorimeters, spectrometers and image quality test programs. Will be involved in all the layers of Android SW stack pertaining to the camera application.

 

Requirements:

Requirements include, but are not limited to:

Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering required, Master’s degree preferred. 5 to 10 years experience with mobile handset cameras is required Practical experience with sensors, sensor technologies, optics, flash, focus motors and other camera peripherals Knowledge of Camera SW stack on Android OS. Good understanding of Image Signal Processor (ISP) and CMOS/CCD camera sensor Experience in Camera Driver and 3A (AE/AWB/AF) algorithms Experience with adjusting the ISP algorithm settings for the particular color quality needs Skilled in camera tuning tools (colorimeters, spectrometers and image quality test programs) Skilled in Android debug tools (ADB, JTAG, Kernel debug). Skilled in configuration management tools (GIT, Clear Case) and build environment (Make, Linux) Excellent embedded C/C++ development experience; some Java. Experience with SW Drivers development would be a plus. Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface internally and externally at all levels including senior management. Ability to travel to international and domestic development sites or customer locations as required.
