Enterprise IT Storage Product Manager/Technical Solutions Sales Support - IT Storage

GENERAL SUMMARY:

 

Location and Travel:

Santa Clara, Los Angles, Seattle, New Jersey 50% time domestic travel with some international travel (to China)

 

Position: Storage Technical Solution Sales Manager

Searching, developing and closing business opportunities for storage product and solutions Building and driving over all sales strategy, as well as finishing the sale target in the assigned US regional market

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Develops sales strategy and business plans to achieve sales goals for Huawei storage product and related solutions, i.e., SAN, NAS, Cloud storage, Backup/Archive solution and Disaster Recovery solution. Communicates with target customers in vertical industries to understand and collect their strategy, requirements of storage network and deployment plans. Determines the appropriate solution based on deep understanding of customer’s business and technical requirement. Builds and maintains relationships with technical decision makers and influencers Delivers technical and sales oriented presentations to customer’s technical staffs and senior management, introducing product and solutions Works with Named Account Sales team to create and implement customer and business development plans, conduct product market analysis, generate strategy and pricing Works with Channel Sales team to build, manage and support channel partners to expand sales Works internally Sales, Product Marketing and Technical Services Dept towards developing competitive solutions and satisfying customer requirements.

 

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:  (Refers to the job, not the incumbent)

 

Education and/or Certifications/Licenses:

Minimum of bachelor degree in IT, computer science or electronics At least 3 years direct experience in IT industry with a proven track record within a well-known storage equipment or technology company, candidate with deep storage/server knowledge and hands-on experience is preferred.

 

Relevant Work Experience:

At least 5 years related experience in technical sales, technical marketing, product management, technical account management or business development. Candidate with knowledge and experience of leading storage/server product is preferred. Broad knowledge in the IT and enterprise data center storage infrastructure, with special emphasis on hand-on experience of commercial use-case definition, TCO analysis, Integrated product and solution development, storage system management & maintenance. Ability to work independently, promote company's product, build and maintain relationships with technical staff of customers. Strong background with proven success in selling storage product and solution in vertical industries, such as Media & Entertainment, High Performance Computing, Education and Financial Self-driven, target oriented and passionate Excellent presentation, communication and consultative skills required. Excellent interpersonal skills and must have a strong focus on customer satisfaction. Excellent cooperation skills with a wide variety of people, including but not limited to, engineering, marketing, R&D and sales Highly motivated, innovative and enthusiastic. Ability to articulate strategically and a great negotiator

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to lift/carry materials, move about the office, turn on and operate a computer in the applicable environment, communicate efficiently and effectively on the telephone or in person, and complete required paperwork.  Travel may be required as directed by management based on business needs.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS (relates to physical environment):

Standard indoor office environment.
