Technical Sales is an integral part of the sales process providing pre-sales technical knowledge and presentations, and subject-matter expert who works closely with sales managers to build customer relationship and prospects by demonstrating how a proposed solution meets and exceeds customer requirements. Must have results-oriented mindset and passion for achieving sales targets. Successful network architects can choose from either technical or managerial career progressions in this position as team is growing.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Develops enterprise network solutions for various customers based on Huawei Enterprise product portfolios, customers business model and competition environment that addresses customer’s specific needs, and he/she must be able to effectively communicate those solutions to customers. Promotes Huawei Enterprise network solutions and brand via participating in industry shows, workshops, forums, exhibitions, and seminars in an active role as presenter or keynote speaker. Manages Huawei key customers in terms of product requirements and business development. Attends extended market and project development by customizing solution and present Huawei value and benefits to customers. Will specialize in one of the following areas: Campus / Data Center LAN Switch Security WAN-Branch / Voice
Education and/or Certifications:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent (Plus attained industry accepted expert/architect level certifications)
Highly desired:CCIE routing/switching or security JNCIE routing/switching or security CCNP routing/switching
Relevant Work Experience:
Minimum:10+ years of technical sales engineer experience in enterprise network solution and product management.
Excellent presentation skills to effectively carry out key product and solution messages during customer engagements.
Routing protocols OSPF and BGP
Able to take a leadership role in design, performance and/or configuration (h/w, s/w & CLI) discussions with R&D and Customers alike.
Has mastery (able to design and sell solutions) of at least one of the following disciplines: Industry recognition in IP/MPLS coupled with architect level competency in data center and/or campus networks. Industry recognition in IP/MPLS coupled with architect level competency in security architectures and policy formation (FW/IPS/NAT/Crypto VPN etc.) Industry recognition in IP/MPLS coupled with strong competency in branch aggregation architectures with specialization in branch voice, SIP trunking, TDM Gateways and/or WAN optimization technologies."
Ability to travel (up to 50%) required.
Skills (Technical and/or General):
Minimum: Strong Enterprise background, especially work experience in the area of Router / IP Switching solutions is a must
Preferred: Knowledge and experience of ownership of full networked solution is preferred (master or architect level expertise).
Technical Solution Sr Manager or Director or equivalent.
Most of the interaction will be with customers at the senior network operations and engineering levels. Depending on the company, you could be dialoging with VP and CTO level employees as well as key technical decision makers that are scoping out the solution. Also key will be your interactions with Huawei Company staff and management including account managers, customer support teams and product marketing.
Standard indoor office environment.
Must be able to lift/carry materials, move about the office, turn on and operate a computer in the applicable environment, communicate efficiently and effectively on the telephone or in person, and complete required paperwork.
