I am currently looking for an experienced Maximo Storage Consultant to work on a 12 month extendable contract for market leading client of mine in Johannesburg, South Africa.
All applicants must have valid work authorization experience for South Africa.
Duties -

Manage SAN device configuration, including setting up zoning, worldwide addresses and LUN masking

Manage ESCON fibre-based hubs, switches and directors

Manage ESCON and FICON SAN resources including fiber-based hubs, switches and directors

Manage SAN resources , including fiber-channel SAN fabric switches
-
Manage or identify firmware upgrades required for SAN resources
-
Perform SAN monitoring and health checks
-
Perform SAN device/storage device problem determination and resolution
-
Perform storage device ( I/O device driver research, patch management and apply fixes)
-
Configure and support the SAN fabric storage network.

Configure and support storage replication
-
Configure and support NAS gateways
-
Configure and support TPC
-
Configure and support virtualization products
-
Configure and manage disk and tape encryption environment
-
Configure and support provisioning
