At Nokia Siemens Networks the Business Solutions function helps Communication Service Providers (CSPs) generate new revenue and differentiate by enabling faster time to market, enhancing billing and charging, automating and simplifying processes, addressing convergence and security, and opening doors to new markets in adjacent industries. Our combination of business and process consulting services, integration and software, and unmatched industry experience helps CSPs address today's business needs. By helping them tap into subscriber data we also enable the individual customer experience that will be required in the future. Business Solutions engages with CSPs to provide business insight for their strategies and options for differentiation so they can ignite growth and drive profitability. We are now looking for a Software Engineer to join us as an experienced engineer in a product, system or technology program in SW/HW/System Design or Integration & Verification. This will involve working under general direction to interpret internal/external business issues and recommended best practices in own discipline.
Once a part of our team, you will be responsible for specifying, planning, reporting, designing, and reviewing in your technical area (e.g. several features). An expert in techno-economical aspects in your responsibility area, you will lead and execute defined technical activities and projects. In addition, you will support resource and program planning and write requirements, specifications and other guiding documentation for R&D from a technical point of view. You may also be expected to work outside of your process area on technical issues as well as solve complex engineering problems in many technology areas. On top of this, you will coach other team members in solving complex engineering problems and undertake technical training responsibilities. You will work in projects as a part of our R&D team. Your main responsibility is implementation of our Advanced Configurator product applications. The programming language we are using is Java. In addition to this, your responsibilities will possible cover design, verification, SW maintenance related investigations and acting as expert in your own area. Please note that we reserve some room for adjustments in job profile depending on your experience. To seize this opportunity, you are a technically oriented individual with the ability to quickly grasp the big picture and an interest in broadening your understanding beyond your area of expertise. For this role, your most important assets are familiarity with Java and especially Java GUI development. And you are familiar with latest SW implementation techniques. We will also appreciate experience in configuration management, proficiency in the use of NetAct and knowledge of Agile SW development methodology. In addition to this you have experience with GSM/WCDMA/LTE techniques and Linux OS. To successfully work in our multicultural environment, you are fluent in written and spoken English and have good team working skills. We will also value flexibility and motivation to learn new things. Your academic credentials should include a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Telecommunication Science or other relevant studies. |
