Overall responsibility will include design and verification of Radio Platforms products and features. You may be responsible for planning, designing and executing parts of functional areas or programs. It is expected that you can coordinate activities within own responsibility area and will developed specialist knowledge. You will have to solve complex engineering problems in your own technology area. You will typically participate in reviews of not only your own projects but also neighboring projects. Work as part of a focused product development engineering team located in the northwest Chicago suburbs that is responsible for the design, development and test of the next generation Wireless Infrastructure architectures and products. Specific activities include the collaborative design and test of infrastructure products at the system and sub-system level. Scope of Responsibilities / Expectations o Participation in all aspects of software life cycle including determining requirements, architecture, development, test and validation, integration, support, and debug. o Develop and debug on prototype hardware platforms o Create and maintain design and interface specifications o Evaluation of new technologies o Follow engineering processes o Integrate 3'rd party solutions o Work in a global engineering team environment soliciting and sharing expertise with other engineers as necessary. o BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science or equivalent. o Experience with embedded programming, RTOS, DSP's, SOC's, o Experience debugging hardware is a plus o Experience with peripherals including SPI, I2C, PCI, SRIO, Ethernet, DMA's, o Experience/knowledge with communication protocols including LTE, WiMax, GSM, CDMA, ENET o Experience with wireless physical (Phy) layer is preferred. o Proficiency with C, compilers, and code simulators. o Use of oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal analyzers, and Wireshark o Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, strong teamwork and organizational skills. o Must be able to handle tasks in parallel and be highly motivated. |
