Sr Engineer-Network

The Senior Engineer-Network is liaison between the Area Budget team and the Northeast regions to support the development, submission, and tracking of the capital budget. He/she identifies opportunities for capital savings by performing regional average cost comparisons of RAN assets and services. Sr. Engineer-Network drives efficient use of cell site equipment and vendor software licenses. He/she works closely with the Area RF Planning team to keep current of new technologies and their impact on the budgetary assumptions to ensure that growth of systems is technologically superior, operationally efficient and cost effective. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluation and analyses of regional engineering and the direction of capital spending. He/she establishes and maintains close working relationships with regional managers, peers, and key contacts within other departments. Sr. Engineer Network will compile and track the Annual Capital Budget submissions and provide executive budget summaries of the revisions to the Area technical managers and the leadership. In addition, the Senior Engineer- Network will support the development of the Network Capital Management System (NCMS) tool. Responsibilities will include identifying, assessing and supporting future releases for NCMS. Must be self-motivated, show initiative, and be willing to volunteer for new assignments in a dynamic work environment. Additional responsibilities include: Support tracking of Area s Capital spending to align with set budget and goals. Participate in quarterly Regional Capital reviews. Ensure exchange of good ideas between the regions. Must be willing to travel.


Bachelor s degree in Engineering or Computer Science required Minimum of 5 years of experience in the wireless telecommunications industry In depth knowledge of 3G1X, EvDO, LTE technologies and wireless infrastructures Experience working with NCMS and PeopleSoft is a plus Proficient in office computer applications: Excel, Word and PowerPoint Strong problem solving abilities Advanced analytic and communication skills Valid driver s license required
