Provides leadership and subject matter expertise Manages large complex additions and changes to the Mobile Switching Centers (MSC), using standard and nonstandard processes. Provides Subject Matter Expertise on all aspects of LTE and CDMA switch engineering. Acts as a leader of engineers in the work group. Trains new team members. Leads multiple complex projects. Expected to lead the most complex and/or high impact projects. Manages entire projects for network builds, modifying configurations, refining designs, and troubleshooting issues/analyzing problems. Involved in troubleshooting process, working with operations who contact data and network engineers for help. Network planning 12-36 months, configures designs, compiles system performance stats project network grow ahead of demand. Responsible for planning, execution and completion of assigned projects. Typically manages multiple projects at one time. Manages both internal and external resources. Interfaces with all levels of management. Uses independent judgment and discretion to make decisions in the best interest of the business. Ensures projects stay within budget. Responsible for the release of contractors who do not meet contractual performance standards. Provides oversight of the work of Engineers. Utilizes experience and knowledge/education to perform tasks. This knowledge is customarily acquired through prolonged professional experience within the industry. Provides advanced skills for analyzing and resolving complex problems. - Design, implement and optimize West Area Voice over LTE and IP VM Networks. - Plan voice over LTE capacity growth, develop forecast and traffic call model based on HQ and field data - Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise on VoLTE and VoLTE Voice Mail. - Proactively monitor and control performance of key EPC network elements to ensure VoLTE and VOIP applications are optimize. - Analyze and ensure the resolution of technical and customer problems - Collect and analyze reports related to performance and utilization of the LTE EPC equipment - Optimize network parameters to improve customers experience - Evaluate and plan for new product impact on LTE network (e.g., Video over LTE, VoIP, etc ) - Participate in new technology and product trials, ensure timely product rollout and testing - Work closely with Data, Fixed, RF performance, and Transport engineers/planning teams - Work closely with Regional data and network engineers and provide guidelines regarding LTE, VoLTE/iPhone VM and EPC OA&M projects


Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience required. 10 plus years of experience in the wireless or telecommunications industry with 5 years short and long term planning. Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access. Strong analytic, interpersonal and communication skills are required Advance troubleshooting skills Proven problem solving abilities Proven leadership abilities Strong project management skills Minimum supervision over work products. Works independently on routine and non-routine research and reporting functions. - Minimum of seven years of technical engineering planning and implementation experience with both CDMA and LTE wireless technologies - LTE network experience with strong knowledge on MME, SGW, PGW, VoLTE VM required. Strong technical knowledge of LTE call flows preferred - Strong technical knowledge of LTE performance tools required - Strong technical knowledge of IMS Core preferred - Strong technical knowledge of CDMA, EV-DO and 1xRTT core network preferred - Demonstrated understanding of IP internetworking and routing - Knowledge of data network security management including Firewalls, Packet filtering, authentication protocols - Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to plan and implement network projects
