Supervisor - Network Operations Center

Responsibilities

Responsible for Shift Team Management  providing remote repair and maintenance of telecommunications services and associated circuitry per specifications and operational procedures in a 24x7 NOC and remote test center environment.  Provides after business hours support as Level 3 escalation contact during Public Holidays and weekends. The Shift Supervisor is responsible to provide instruction and guidance to all shift member on day to day operations and general issues, directing external resources such as telco's or vendors and internal resources on what is required of them in addressing customer issues.   

 



Qualifications

Bachelors degree in electronics, engineering, or related field and 5-8 yrs of related job-experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Strong interpersonal skills for interaction with customers, subordinate supervisors, vendors, senior management, and/or functional peer group manager.

Effectively communicates with people from diverse nationalities. Ability to handle, motivate and direct people.  A good command of written and spoken English –especially telecommunications terminology- is essential.  In addition to English, Asian language competencies are preferred.

Uses working knowledge of telecommunications equipment, processes and systems, as well as department policies and procedures.  Maintains business ethical standards as well as follows department and company policies and procedures.

Functions effectively under pressure.  Ability to produce positive results within allocated time scales.

Candidates with industry certifications such as cisco, Juniper, ITIL and others are preferred.
