Connect 44 is looking for Nokia Core Network Expert Engineers to be based in Venezuela.Nokia Core Network Expert Profile

o Technical expertise in 2G & 3G Core Network

o Expert in Network Elements such as MSC, HLR, HSS, STP, MGW, Softswitch.., SGSN, GGSN

Familiar with Industry Standards such as

§ 3GPP up to REL 4 practically and REL 7 theoretical,

§ ETSI GSM specs,

§ IEEE 802.X

o Familiar with implementation of GPRS, HSxPA,

o Knowledge of VAS (SMS, MMS, mobile application) a big plus.

o Knowledge of OSS a big plus.

o Knowledge of RAN a big plus.

o Multi vendor experience a plus, but not a must

Technical Experience in:

• Commissioning/ Integration and testing of Nokia PS and CS equipments.

• Commissioning, Integration and testing of MGW.

• New feature testing and implementation.

• Decommissioning of Nokia legacy MSCs.

• Software upgrade of MGW.

• CD Implementation on CS and PS.

• UPD creations and troubleshooting.

• Datafill for CS and PS.

• Core network capacity fault investigation – Investigating and performing in-depth analysis of capacity problems recorded in the Core network and dimensioning as per traffic and KPI requirements CS and PS.

• Signaling performance (C7) – To investigate C7 signaling links utilization and numbering of signaling links (SL) in each of link sets (SLS). Troubleshooting and planning for high link load, signaling event records concerning congestion and other miscellaneous events such as signaling error and retransmit octets.

• Trunk route planning – To get daily trunk route utilization from all MSS and be able to highlight trunk congestion, which could effect performance of MSS nodes and to suggest remedial actions (i.e. Answer seizure ratio, call success rate).

• Supervising & supporting the Operations team in, including competency transfer.

• SMS performance – Measure the performance of SMS-MO and SMS-MT that will give an indication of SMS success rate within MSC/VLR.

• Paging performance – To measure and monitor paging performance in MSS/VLR and troubleshoot possible discrepancies in network design.

• Advanced reporting of potential problems in the network (2G + 3G) by doing in-depth performance analysis and suggesting possible recommendations as per network planning. Doing follow-up and updates on regular expansion plans in the 3G network.

• Analysis and troubleshooting of all 3G core network elements capacity problems and suggesting more efficient use of available resources and capacity of the network.
