Engineer must be able to size and cost out a wireless CDMA core based on a current and forecasted traffic (MOU & Erlang) model * Subject Matter Expert on CDMA Network Engineering * Lucent CDMA MSC/BSC/RNC/PDSN experience a must with focus on Core * Big picture CDMA network overview a plus (from RAN to Core) * GSM/UMTS knowledge in additional to CDMA knowledge a plus Additional Details: Establish an equipment baseline and engineer Lucent Autoplex Systems and Nortel/Motorola Wireless System. Monitor and analyze Switching System statistics and provide traffic trends to appropriately forecast equipment entities satisfying the network build-out plan. Maintain weekly conference calls with project managers to ensure projects meet scheduled plans and demands. Maintain close working relations with engineers while prioritizing equipment installation schedules to maintain system load demands. Lead core network discussions and deliverables. This individual could be expected to provide support as a technical writer, PM and/or input on operations to maintain a CDMA network.
