MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary objective of the job: Provide technical support and consultancy to the Digicel markets on mediation systems such as the Ericsson Multi-Mediation (EMM) and Ericsson Multi-Action (EMA) platforms.

Drive group-wide mediation initiatives and standards into markets and ensure quality, availability and optimized performance of the mediation systems. Support rollout teams for new networks, ensuring business simulation testing and facilitating launch preparation

• As subject matter expert, provide technical support to all Digicel markets in the configuration, optimization, upgrade, expansion and troubleshooting of mediation systems
• Evaluate new features and new vendors, and support the design and rollout of new markets and technologies
• Ensure that best practices are adopted across the group so that all billable CDRs are captured and processed correctly, and in a consistent way
• Drive continual improvement of network operations
• Produce trending reports to identify any potential issues for EMM and EMA
• Provide support and manage vendor interaction to ensure that escalated issues receive a timely remedy and resolution
• Managing the process of life-cycle management of EMA/EMM across the group

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• A first degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• At least five years relevant work experience in a telecommunications or IT environment. Ericsson experience is ideal
• At least three years work experience with EMM/EMA
• Knowledge and experience with Ericsson Charging Systems is an asset

SKILLS:

• Telecommunications and IT background
• Proficient in Unix and scripting
• Experience with Ericsson Charging System
• Experience in Oracle, SQL and database management
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Able to work with a team in a demanding environment
• Able to prioritize tasks and ability to multitask
• Flexible and willing to accept and adapt to constant changes
• Excellent inter-personal skills
• Multilingual: Strong in English Language. Spanish and French is an asset.
